This gearbox sealing ring is an original AGCO component designed to prevent oil leakage at the shaft exit point of the transmission housing. It sits in the recess machined into the gearbox casing, where it seals against the rotating shaft to maintain internal lubricant pressure and exclude contaminants. A degraded seal allows oil to weep past the shaft, leading to low lubricant levels and potential gear or bearing damage. The ring is manufactured to the original geometry so it seats correctly in the housing bore without requiring additional shimming or modification. On installation, ensure the sealing surface on the shaft is clean and free of grooves, and lubricate the seal lip lightly before pressing it into place.
