This front axle bushing is the component that locates the axle pivot and carries the radial load between the axle beam and the tractor chassis. It sits inside the axle housing, with the inner bore riding on the pivot pin and the outer surface pressed into the housing bore. Wear in this bushing produces lateral play in the front axle, which translates into steering wander and uneven tire wear. As an original AGCO part, the bushing is machined to the same bore and pin clearances as the production assembly, so no reaming or shimming is required during installation. When replacing, press the old bushing out and the new one in using a suitable drift, then verify free rotation of the axle on the pin before tightening the retaining hardware.
