A worn or hardened ring causes internal fluid bypass, leading to delayed shifts or clutch slip. The original AGCO part is molded to the same cross-section profile as the factory ring, so it seats correctly in the groove without requiring shimming or additional sealant. On reinstall, ensure the groove is clean and free of burrs before pressing the ring into place.
