This bearing housing encloses and supports the bearing in the threshing drive assembly. It maintains the correct alignment of the rotating shaft relative to the drive components. A damaged or worn housing allows shaft deflection, which leads to vibration and accelerated wear on the bearing and seals. The housing is machined to the original geometry so the bearing seats correctly without shimming. When replacing, transfer the bearing and seal to the new housing, and torque the mounting bolts to specification.
