This seal ring fits the front axle housing of the host tractor. It sits at the interface between the axle shaft and the hub, retaining lubricant inside the bearing cavity while excluding dirt and moisture from the field environment. A worn or hardened seal allows grease to escape and contaminants to enter, leading to accelerated bearing wear and eventual axle noise. Corteco manufactures this ring to the original seal-groove geometry, so the lip contacts the shaft at the correct interference angle without requiring shimming or adapter sleeves. On installation, inspect the shaft surface for scoring and apply a thin film of assembly lubricant to the seal lip.
