This bearing with housing supports the rotating shaft of a disc harrow, carrying radial and axial loads from the disc gangs during tillage. It is a replacement unit for the original assembly, designed to be bolted directly to the harrow frame. The sealed housing protects the bearing from soil ingress and retains lubricant, reducing maintenance frequency. When the bearing develops play or noise, the disc gang may wobble, causing uneven working depth and increased draft force. The manufacturer machines the housing bore to the same tolerance as the original, so the bearing seats without shimming. On installation, tighten the mounting bolts to the frame torque specification and verify the shaft rotates freely before operation.
