This tungsten carbide reinforced chisel is the left-side component for the plow point assembly. It is designed to fracture and loosen soil as the plow is drawn forward. The tungsten carbide hardfacing on the working face resists abrasive wear from soil contact, extending service intervals compared to a standard steel chisel. A worn chisel increases draft force and produces an uneven furrow bottom. The chisel mounts to the plow leg using two bolts; the matching right-side chisel is a separate part. On installation, use the specified bolt and torque to the manufacturer's value.
