This roller chain transmits rotary motion from the drive sprocket to the shafts within the cleaning system of the parent combine harvester. It sits in the shoe assembly, where it drives the sieves and the cleaning fan, coordinating the flow of grain and chaff across the separation surfaces. A worn or stretched chain causes timing slip between the cleaning elements, leading to incomplete separation and increased grain loss over the sieves. The chain is manufactured to match the original pitch and roller diameter so it seats correctly on the existing sprockets without requiring shimming or sprocket replacement.
