This rubber shock absorber dampens vibration and impact loads transmitted between the disc harrow frame and the disc gang assembly. It compresses and rebounds to absorb the cyclic forces generated as the discs cut through soil, reducing stress on the mounting brackets and frame welds. A worn or collapsed absorber allows excessive frame movement, which can lead to cracking at the attachment points and uneven disc penetration. The manufacturer’s original geometry matches the housing pocket and the preload requirements of the spring pack, so no shimming or adapter is needed during replacement.
