This variator belt transmits power from the engine to the variable-speed drive unit that controls ground speed on the host tractor. It is a toothed belt, which prevents slippage under load and maintains positive engagement with the pulleys. A worn or glazed belt causes speed fluctuation and reduced tractive effort, particularly under varying engine loads. As an original-manufacturer component, the belt is molded to the same tooth profile and pitch as the original pulley system, so no adjustment of the tensioner or pulley alignment is needed during replacement.
