This spring is a component of the rear three-point hitch (3PL) system on the host tractor. It provides the return force that stabilizes the hitch arms and maintains tension in the linkage when implements are raised or lowered. A sagging or broken spring allows the hitch to drift downward under load, causing uneven implement depth and increased wear on the lift cylinders. As an original AGCO part, the spring is wound to the same free length and rate as the factory assembly, which ensures the hitch's mechanical timing and load-holding characteristics are preserved. No shimming or adjustment is required during installation.
